Whitecaps Get a New Video Display With an Old Feel

TS Sports is pleased to announce the award of Fifth Third Bank Stadium, home of the West Michigan Whitecaps.  TS Sports will be integrating a 20mm LED video display, a vintage manual scoreboard and a state-of-the-art HELIOS advertising system.  The LED video display will be manufactured by TS Sports’ exclusive LED partner Lighthouse Technologies.

  • LED Video Display – 20mm – 28.3’ High x 54.6’ Wide
  • Vintage Manual Scoreboard – 24’ (h) x 39’ (w)
  • HELIOS System – 6mm – 4.7’ (h) x 4.2’ (w)

“We are very excited to install our cutting-edge video technology for the Whitecaps” said Brent Waldrum, TS Sports Sales Consultant.  The Whitecaps will be the first Minor League Baseball team to feature a StarVison HELIOS System.  The system is an all in one advertising system complete with a 6mm video display, advertising panel and software system.  The system is housed in a weather-proof structure and will greet Whitecaps fans as they enter the stadium.

“TS Sports recently integrated new video displays at Michigan Stadium a few hours from Fifth Third Bank Stadium.  We have a lot of great relationships in Michigan and will utilize local support to help service and install the displays.” said Matt Ritter, TS Sports VP.

The video installation will be ready for the 2012 season opener.

The 2012 Baseball Season is Looking  Bright in Laredo

TS Sports is pleased to announce that Ventura Sports Group (VSG) and the City of Laredo, Texas have selected TS Sports to integrate their LED Displays for their new baseball facility.  TS Sports will be integrating a 22’ high x 42’wide 20mm LED video display for the 2012 baseball season.  The video displays will be manufactured by TS Sports exclusive LED partner Lighthouse Technology.  The project will also feature advertising signage, and a state-of-the-art video control system.

“We are very proud to be partnering with Ventura Sports Group and the City of Laredo on the project.” said Matt Ritter, TS Sports VP. “We have a great relationship with VSG and plan to strengthen our relationship with another successful LED installation.” TS Sports was chosen by Ventura Sports Group in 2009 to install new LED displays at QuikTrip Park, home of the Grand Prairie Airhogs.

Laredo will be another Texas project for Dallas-Based TS Sports.  Other notable Texas projects include The American Airlines Center (Mavericks and Stars), Amon G. Carter Stadium (TCU Football), Cedar Park Center (AHL of Dallas Stars), and Resistol Arena (Mesquite Rodeo) among others.

The stadium is set to open in April of 2012.

TS Sports brings StarVision to University of Minnesota

University of Minnesota Courtside LED System

The University of Minnesota has selected TS Sports to integrate a 10mm-SMD video display for Williams Arena.  TS Sports will be working with ES&A to integrate a unique LED video system that will sit on the court during University of Minnesota events.  The LED display will be manufactured by TS Sports’ exclusive LED partner Lighthouse Technologies.

The 10mm-SMD video display will be 3.13’ high and 33.5’ wide.  The display will be mounted to a portable structure for ease of installation and removal.  The LED display is designed to be installed and removed before and after multiple events throughout the year.

TS Sports and ES&A have partnered on several collegiate projects over the past few years.  “ES&A does a great job working with our products to design a system that meets the needs of our clients” said Matt Ritter, TS Sports VP.  Other notable installations for TS Sports and ES&A include Matthew Knight Arena (University of Oregon) and Gampel Pavilion (University of Connecticut), and Michigan Stadium, (University of Michigan) among others.
